Taekwon Aerobics

Taekwondo Aerobics is a combination of Taekwondo basics, aerobics, dance movements and music. Its a new found Korean healthy sport introduced to Singapore in 1993 by the STF National Demonstration Team.
This sport is later introduced to the Singapore Sports Council for the 'Sports For Life' projects. A department is also formed by the STF to promote this wonderful healthy sport for masses regardless of age groups.


Taekwon Aerobics is a fun way for staying fit. It also provides a mode for developing of character and mental strength. Taekwon Aerobics' beautiful choreographed rhythmic movements drawn many spectators and is well commented.

 

 

PATTERN ( POOMSAE Display)

'Poomsae Display' are sets of systematic series of movements, which incorporate idea attacking, and defensive techniques against imaginary opponents. They can consider as a form of choreography, which captures the essence of Taekwondo.

'Poomsae' are the identity of taekwondo. Most schools of martial arts have their own distinct sets of patterns. Taekwondo is not an exception although it is now being promoted vigorously as a modern sport.

Regular 'Poomsae' practice help in the development of rhythm, balance, coordination, endurance, patience, muscles, discipline and proper breath control. Moreover, 'Poomsae' are convenient and effective forms of taekwondo training for all ages, sex and physical abilities.

 

 

Self-Defence

The art of self defence can be defined as special techniques which involves the application of all taekwondo techniques for real combats situation. It is a skill to control the enemy by using of defensive and offensive techniques to protect oneself.

 

 

BREAKING Techniques( KYUKPA )
           
Kyukpa (breaking) can be measured though the precision of taekwondo training by breaking solid objects such as planks with hands, fists, elbow, or feet.Such fantastic and  flamboyant displays are necessary to show the dynamic power, the flexibility and prolific nature of Taekwondo. The practice of breaking helps to built confidence, courage, discipline and patience.
